Choosing a Fitness Center
Choosing a fitness center and knowing what aspects and criteria to look for can be a confusing task. Whether you are deciding to renew at your current fitness center or shopping for a new one, it helps to be aware of what you want and what criteria to look for.
Here are a few:
-Location convenience- Most of us have daily work and family responsibilities. Try to choose a fitness center that is close to work or home. This will lessen the stress of excess travel time and minimize interference in home or work time.
-High quality exercise equipment- Exercise equipment that is constantly broken or that is poor quality will quickly dampen your enthusiasm to exercise. Make sure that your chosen fitness center has high quality, fully functional exercise equipment. This will help ensure the best chance for maximum progress.
- High level instruction- Nothing is more aggravating than spending the time and money to join a fitness center and not having an experienced, qualified instructor to show you how to use the equipment and to answer your questions regarding diet and exercise. Make sure that the fitness center that you choose employs personnel qualified to answer your questions and help you with your goals.
Sustaining and improving your health and fitness is an important and lifelong endeavor. A complete, high quality fitness center is an important tool in achieving your goals. The 4th and Main fitness center committee is constantly working to provide the best environment and atmosphere to improve the health of its members and maximize their satisfaction and progress.
If you have any questions or comments regarding this or any other topic, or suggestions for future newsletters, feel free to contact me. Also, I am always available to demonstrate the exercise equipment or show alternative exercises, and to answer any diet or exercise questions.
