My name is Heath Ellenberger I am 22 years old and a college student living in the dorms! I just went through a 24 week transformation while in school and living in the dorms trying to prepare food and eat on time with all the distractions of dorm life. Lots of focus and discipline.
Both of my parents are really supportive of the bodybuilding lifestyle that I live day in and day out! I feel this is very important to the success that I have had so far! Having a firm support system is vital! I also have 3 brothers who are younger than me, we are all 4 years a part. None of them have caught the bodybuilding fever like I have! Maybe one day!!
What got me started in bodybuilding is basically there is nothing like this sport. The more and more I get involved in it I find this to be more and more true. Its like a special under affiliation where everyone knows each other even if they have never met they know you though the forums or though someone who knows them who knows you. It’s a brotherhood that is bound together by hard work, dedication, and the iron that’s bounds all.
I competed in my first bodybuilding show this past march. The Natural Flint Championships March 10th! I competed in a novice and open division. Placing 3rd in each of the classes.
5 months and 14 days till I MAKE my Faithful return to the BODYBUILDING STAGE!!! Where dreams are fulfilled and hearts are broken! Hopefully this time it will be my dream that will be fulfilled!!!! And I will begin my pursuit toward the National Stage! I will be competing in the NPC Natural Northern Ohio October 6th 2007! This show Is a national qualifier, and I intend to make the necessary changes to my physique to qualify!

I found the most interesting things out when I competed. This sport is not like other sports in the aspect of competition. We don’t get a “game face” and put it on, because he day we have to show all of our hard work is done now we just have to go and show it off to people sitting in the crowd who really don’t understand the struggle and losses and strife we put up with to make it on to that stage. The only guys who know are the ones standing right next to you, your brothers the ones who took that same quest as you did to make it onto that stage that day.
Even though at that moment when you are under the lights and you are squeezing every last bit of energy and newly introduced carbs into those muscle, you are warriors and enemies. But as soon as the last call out is made the final pose down is done and the last bead of pro-tan coated sweat is dropped and you walk off stage, you are still brothers and only they know what it took to compete that day! That is why I got into this crazy lifestyle of bodybuilding. On that day i placed 3rd in both classes i competed in. But i walked away with a new vision and a whole lot more knowledge about me and my body that i didnt know before.
I am not just excited to make gain a progress toward my next show which will be this coming fall!
It looks like you are on your way Heath. We are proud to have you on the Paramount Team! Keep up the great work and keep up updated!
