Vitamins for People Over 50



Dear Larry:

I am over 50 now and workout on a regular basis. Most recently I see my energy declining, easier to add fat. and am not as strong. otherwise I'm in great health. What would you suggest? Harry

Larry:

I would initially address my diet and nutrition. Exercise breaks the body down and wears it out in a healthy way. This triggers the body to repair itself and become better and more capable IF adequate nutrition and rest are available. Basic nutrition would include proper amounts of protein, carbohydrates, and fats. Try to get these from healthy sources. You also want to make sure that you have an adequate supply of smaller nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. This would come from a comprehensive multi vitamin/mineral supplement such as Ultra 4 by Beverly International.
